Birthday Dinner at Whet
We flew to Cairns from Melbourne Tullarmarine on the 30th of September, it was my 28th birthday. The flight was delayed 2 hours, we picked up the hire car in Cairns and hit road works, that slowed us down even more, but as we got further from Cairns (and I lost reception on my mobile),Continue reading “Birthday Dinner at Whet”
A Tropical Refresh
It was so nice to get away last week, the first two days were even receptionless! We spent a couple of days right up north at Cape Tribulation, and then headed south to Cairns for J to fulfil his best-man duties. It really was the perfect ‘refresh’ that I needed after the last couple ofContinue reading “A Tropical Refresh”
Tasmanian Tidbits
Tasmania was a wonderful way to end 2012 and begin 2013. The combination of great food, the stunning natural environment, and the jaw dropping, awe-inspiring MONA. New Years morning, we escaped The Falls Festival as early as we could and found a lovely, but very formal restaurant, the only one open, on Salamanca Place to eatContinue reading “Tasmanian Tidbits”
#2013AdventureResolution
Hindsight is a powerful thing, it reminds you of all the great times and teaches you things that could be done differently. Starting the year in Tasmania, adventuring around the state, returning home with barely enough money to pay bills. It was an exhausting start to the year. Living from week to week, hemorrhaging large sums ofContinue reading “#2013AdventureResolution”
Our final hurrah.
For our last day in Hawaii we decided to hit the beach. We found a buffet breakfast right on the waterfront, all we could eat for $14! There was bread pudding, scrambled eggs, sausages, crispy bacon, muesli, yoghurt, fruit, etc. Absolutely delicious! Heading back to our hotel to grab our swimmers and head to the beach. I desperately needed toContinue reading “Our final hurrah.”
Food and cocktails?
We had some of the most amazing food while in Hawaii! Burgers, chips, salads and waaaay too many cocktails! You guys in the States, really need to appreciate how cheap your alcohol is. I was always told how cheap everything is in America and granted hawaii is pretty far away from the mainland. Things wereContinue reading “Food and cocktails?”
I do!
The reason that we decided to book the trip to Hawaii was becuase of our friends’ wedding. It was such a lovely day. Here are some of our highlights. I loved that we arrived at the wedding in a yellow school bus! For the guest book we all had polaroid photos taken of us andContinue reading “I do!”
10.11.12
This is a guest post by J, that’s right, one afternoon chilling out he wrote a story about THE BEST DAY EVER and was happy for me to share it on my blog. I love this guy! As the date is written in the USA…. Confusing for us Aussies, especially after 15 or so hoursContinue reading “10.11.12”
Hit the road… tarmac?
So right now we’ll be on the place between Sydney and Honolulu (clearly this is scheduled and I’m not uploading it on the plane. However I do hope that this can happen soon). First we’ll have gotten a plane from Melbourne to Sydney. So in this case you’ll have to forgive me if I’m pretty quiet onContinue reading “Hit the road… tarmac?”
