In my kitchen…
… we have a colander of baby beetroot that I have been meaning to pickle since we picked them from our old house, a bit over a week ago. Instead, I just keep tipping them out of the colander as I need it, and then putting them back in. I did use one in a smoothie bowl for breakfast the other day.In my kitchen…
…is our new blender! Huge thanks to Breville for being so patient with me. About 8 months ago, I won a Breville All-In-One through attending a blogging event, and then shortly after that it blew up. I contacted Breville, but as I had won it there was no warranty, but they were so great and they posted me a new one. Then, once again I was making a delicious raw chocolate and banana pie, and it blew up. In the end, after much too-ing and fro-ing, I got a new one, but instead of the All-In-One, I got The Kinetix Wizz. I’m hoping that this one will stand the test of time! In my kitchen…
…there’s a couple of new cook books. I have a constant Wish List at the Book Depository, and when I feel like I haven’t ordered something online for a little while, or I have some spare cash, or I just want to get something in the mail, I order a new one. These two are both stunners! In my kitchen…
…there’s a couple of new appliances. I’m planning on doing a post about our kitchen, so I’ll just leave it at that for now.
In my kitchen…
… there’s some beautiful house warming flowers! I love love love fresh cut flowers. In my kitchen…
… there’s an ever growing supply of photography props. These are some of my favourites at the moment.
… there is this veggie spiralizer. I’m absolutely loving making ‘raw pasta’, and turning it into a cool salad. Some zucchini, some pesto, some cherry tomatoes and a handful of baby spinach is a delicious lunch!
What fun things do you have in your kitchen this month? Have you had a look at the list over at Fig Jam and Lime Cordial?
I just love my thermomix, it sits beautifully on my bench and gets used so much.

I can’t wait to see the full tour of the kitchen. I am glad I’m not the only one who sets something aside for a purpose and then leaves it there for ages. Got some corn cobs out to cook with the other day and they sat on the bench for a few days!

Beetroot can linger in my kitchen too – in fact I have bought it vacuumed packed lately because I know I am not great at cooking it – I should just put it on the stovetop and be patient! Lots of exciting new appliances and cookbooks for you to play with and my heart gave a little leap at your old fashioned beaters – wish I had use enough to justify having some in our kitchen

Thanks Johanna. I still haven’t done anything with the beetroot!

How wonderful for you to have the kitchen up and running! Interesting about the Breville issue, I’ve returned a couple of their items after being quite disappointed. Can’t wait to see your post about kitchen appliances etc. Very handy with us in the planning stages. Can never have enough fresh flowers. Congratulations, all looks great!

What a saga with the blender! I was only just lamenting the fact that mine is broken too (I wanted to whiz up some frozen banana and raspberries for dessert).
Your kitchen looks gorgeous so I can’t wait to take a full tour on your upcoming post. x

Clare, I’m rejoicing over your new stove — woohoo! Can’t imagine having small appliances blow up, though… hope it wasn’t too much of a mess (or frustration mid-recipe!) Your side-handled hand mixer and vintage syrup dispenser are treasures. Enjoy your props and updated kitchen!
