Tooting My Own Horn

It’s been a big few weeks, and it’s going to continue to be a big few months. Monday to Friday, from 8:30am until 4pm, we have tradies on site, there’s phone calls to make, payments to be made, nails to be hammered, tools to be passed, a baby to be fed, dinner to cook, a house to be kept tidy, and countless other things to be done.

I’m feeling a bit like Wonder Woman. Mostly, I’m managing, every now and again I break down, but mostly it’s all good. I’m not blogging as much as I’d like to, or cooking/baking as much as I’d like to, or even showering as much as I’d like to, but I’m having a blast.

I think every now and again you just need to toot you own horn and acknowledge what an awesome job you’re doing.

I think I’m being pretty awesome at life at the moment!

What’s something you’re doing wonderfully?

  1. I read what you are up to all the time and try to remember what it was like for me with a new baby. No way could I do all you’re doing. I know it’s a short amount of time and the goal is huge so you do what you must. Be kind to yourself and get on that pedestal more often – you deserve it.

    1. Thanks Maureen. I keep feeling so snowed under, and then I just took a step back and realised how much I was doing.

  2. I think you are double, if not triple awesome! You are working your guts out on the house and (usually) keep it all together 🙂

It is a big job juggling everything and you are doing it really well. It will be great to have your own home. Enjoy!

  3. Building a home is such a full-time job. It’s so fortunate that you live next door! We’ve just renovated a property and it’s still going on with all the tradies and the finishing off and because the property is a distance from where we live, every time I have to do a site inspection I may as well right off the day xx
