Top 10 Tips That Came From ProBlogger

  1. Your blog is your brand.  Make it reflect you.
  2. You’ll never get anywhere if you don’t start!
  3. It doesn’t hurt to ask for help!  You’re already getting a ‘no’ if you don’t ask and the worst thing someone can say to you is ‘no’.
  4. Try working on your new project for 15 mins a day.
  5. Inspiration without confrontation is completely empty.
  6. People don’t have a lot of time; make posts shorter, and make mini-series out of them.
  7. Put your readers in the spot light by helping them shape your posts.
  8. Big groups of people aren’t so scary, especially ones who are passionate about things you’re passionate about.
  9. Life is short, so do what you want with it!
  10. You are unique!  You are your greatest asset!

What’s your favourite life tip?

    1. I really should too. I’d love to start on an ebook but life seems to get in the way. I really need to heed my own advice!

  1. I love them all! But especially number two – I toyed with the idea of a blog for years before I started. It was scary taking that first step and I still haven’t completely put myself out there. At first I thought it was just writing a post and getting some comments, but I’m SO grateful that it has lead to meeting wonderful people such as yourself!! xx

    1. Thanks Sophie! I’ve lover meeting you too! I think there is so much in life that we put off and just starting is the key to it all!

  2. I wish I could have attended ProBlogger this year but oh well, there is always next year! Thanks for sharing those tips – I’m finding that spending even a small amount of time on my blog every day is difficult though 🙁

    1. Libby, it’s a fantastic event, even just for meeting so many like minded people. I’ve been much more confident introducing myself as a blogger since then!

  3. Claire, thank you for posting this list, I’m inspired. I’m going to try and make it to the Pro blogger conference next year it looked so fabulous and worthwhile from what we saw of your posts and instagram feed. Have a great weekend.

    1. Catherine, I’d recommend it to everyone! Even just to get an online business up and running, or building an online community. It really was great!

  4. I only have one tip for enduring a “different” and often “difficult” life and that is Breathe In and Breathe Out, Breathe In and Breathe Out…….. If i wasnt such a woose i would get it tatooed on the inside of my arm to keep reminding me.

The conference sounds like something i would enjoy, so perhaps next year.
