Our final hurrah.

For our last day in Hawaii we decided to hit the beach.

We found a buffet breakfast right on the waterfront, all we could eat for $14!  There was bread pudding, scrambled eggs, sausages, crispy bacon, muesli, yoghurt, fruit, etc.  Absolutely delicious!

Heading back to our hotel to grab our swimmers and head to the beach.  I desperately needed to soak up a few more rays before jumping on the plan the next day!

Jay was all antsy as he had not done any exercise in the week, so he hired out a sea kayak, I wasn’t going to let him have all the fun, so I hired out a floating turtle and he towed me around.

At one point a real life turtle actually swam underneath me!

Over on Paia we had been recommended by friends to go out on the yellow catamaran, it cost about $25 each and had an open bar.  Apparently our friends had noticed that this boat had the most fun.

We booked the sunset cruise.

It really was a lovely way to spend our last day in Hawaii.

The next morning we were up early and off to the airport.

Have you been to Hawaii?  Are you for tropical holidays or something a bit cooler?

    1. It really was so lovely. I was a little scared by the turtle, as it’s illegal to be within 10 feet of them in Hawaii because they’re protected. But the evening was just stunning!

  1. I’m all about tropical holidays! Don’t you just love being out on the water? One day at work I started thinking about how lovely it would be to be out on the ocean, I sent Patrick a message asking “Can we buy a boat?”, he replied “okay” lol Was the turtle that swam under you a big one? They are just beautiful creatures, aren’t they?
